I Stood By My Dream

I Stood By My Dream

Being Fearlest (fearless) to me isn't just about going all out and YOLO till it's at the expense of your own health, relationships or even finances.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's true that you should go all out for your dreams but it's also being aware of...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝟭) 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲
𝟮) 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼
𝟯) 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since young, I've always wanted to pursue a career in the arts and back then and maybe even now, it's considered to be a not so stable job with low income and especially for a freelancer, no CPF.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many have asked me to change but yet I stood by this dream and in the early years of teaching dance also found my love to see others grow both in dance and in character.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The journey's tough and meltdowns do happen, but in these hard times I've also learnt not to overwork at the expense of my health or neglect family and friends.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you know why you're called to do what you do, it's becomes your driving force and life becomes more purposeful and fulfilling – The provision will come, the community will rise up together and soon enough you find that you're not alone 😎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• I'm not just a dancer
– but 𝘼 𝙒𝙊𝙈𝘼𝙉 who loves to nurture others
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• I don't just teach
– but 𝙃𝙊𝙋𝙀 to build communities that support one another
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• I do what I do
– because everyone needs a listening ear and to know that 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙔 𝘼𝙍𝙀 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀𝘿 and can love
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♥️
